AIRPORTS: MUNICH AIRPORT UNVEILS NEW CENTRE TO FIGHT CYBER CRIME
Munich Airport today launched a new centre to defend it and the aviation industry against cyber crime
Called the Information Security Hub (ISH), it will house a team of IT specialists who will work together with experts from the European aviation industry to develop strategies for defending against cyber attacks and new approaches to the fight against cybercrime.
According to the airport, there has been a massive increase in the number of cyber attacks on the IT systems of companies and public authorities in Germany in recent years, and it is no exception to the rule.

The new competence centre at Munich Airport has four training rooms and IT labs, a control room and an amphitheatre for presentations and briefings.
The work of the ISH will not be dedicated exclusively to IT security at the airport. Other activities will involve co-operation between companies and across industry boundaries.
Airport operator FMG has worked closely with the IT security companies ERNW INSIGHT, HvS-Consulting and IT-CUBE SYSTEMS in setting up the ISH.
