BRISBANE ISSUES RFPS FOR TECHNOLOGY AND BOOK/SOUVENIR OUTLETS

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) is inviting Request for Proposal (RFP) from leading edge technology retailers and premium quality books or souvenirs retailers as part of a AUSD 40 million redevelopment of the Northern (Qantas) end of its busy Domestic Terminal.

Works will commence in April 2018 and, when complete in December 2020, will deliver 70 shops in total, with 51 new or refurbished retail outlets, an upgraded foodcourt, "unparalleled views across the apron" and tarmac and more natural lighting.

Guiding the direction of this project is BAC’s focus on establishing a distinct sense of place showcasing the best attributes of the lifestyle, design and culture that is Brisbane and Queensland.

Opportunity 1: Leading Edge Technology retailer

BAC is seeking a first class technology retail partner for one 57sqm location on Level 2, airside (Northern/Qantas departures). 

This newly created premises is situated on the main concourse and will be part of the new High Street precinct in the Domestic Terminal. This store will be complemented with a new retail mix of fashion, accessories and food and beverage by 2020.

The RFP will close at 4pm Friday, March 23,  2018.

Opportunity 2: Premium Quality Book retailer with optional café offering or Premium Quality Souvenirs retailer 

The Premium Quality Souvenir retailer must offer "the best of Brisbane and South East Queensland".

Under this RFP, BAC is seeking a well-recognised books or souvenirs brand with a high quality and extensive offerto partner with in this centrally located 204sqm tenancy. 

This newly created premises is located on Level 2, airside in the Northern departures terminal. It is situated on the main concourse and will be part of the new High Street precinct in the domestic terminal.  

The RFP will close at 4pm Friday 23 March 2018. 

Further RFPs will be released early in 2018 as part of this redevelopment.
