Lester Sola unveiled as new boss of Miami International Airport

Lester Sola is the new boss of Miami International Airport, succeeding Emilio González, who quit late last year.

Sola was today officially unveiled as the new director and CEO of MIA operator, Miami-Dade Aviation Department, by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez.

He will oversee operations at Miami International Airport (MIA) and four general aviation (GA) airports throughout Miami-Dade County, which together generate USD 33.7 billion in business revenue and support more than 280,000 direct and indirect jobs.

MIA leads the way, handling more than 44 million passengers and more than two million tons of cargo annually, placing it among America’s busiest international passenger and cargo airports.
