Aigle Azur bracing to launch long-haul operations

Aigle Azur, the second most scheduled French airline after Air France, received its second Airbus A330-200 on June 14, 2018. The plane was immediately deployed on the same middle-haul routes as the first one. Eventually, they should be used for long-haul routes the company plans to open during the summer 2018.

The airline will soon start operating from Paris Orly Airport (ORY) in France, where it is based, to Sao Paulo-Campinas International Airport (VCP) in Brazil and to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) in China. Both destinations should be operated three times per week, with an increase to four weekly flights for Sao Paulo around September 2018. The Brazilian route will start from July 5, 2018, while the Chinese destination is expected for August 2018.

The two A330s of 287 seats that were ordered in December 2017 are configured in two classes, and sports the new long-haul livery of the company. Aigle Azur operates a mono-brand fleet composed of 12 Airbus aircraft: nine A320s, one A319s and the two new A330s.
