LOT WILL FLY DAILY TO TOKYO AS OF SUMMER 2019

 LOT continously expand it’s the most popular routes to Asia. As of 26th March 2019 the Poland’s flag carrier will increase the frequency of flights between Warsaw and Tokyo to 7 times a week. Next summer, passengers will be provided with the most convenient way of daily travels to Warsaw and to many destinations in Poland and the entire Europe

Starting from today, LOT’s passengers can plan their travels to Japan more effectively - LOT is going to offer the schedule of daily flights between Warsaw and the Land of the Rising Sun as of summer season 2019.

Starting from 26 March, LOT’s Dreamliners will take off at 15.05 pm from Warsaw to Narita every day to land at 8:35 am (local time). The departure from Tokyo-Narita from Monday untill Sunday is scheduled at 10.15 am with landing at Warsaw Chopin Airport at 14:25 pm.

Daily schedule of flights between Warsaw and Tokyo is the result of the ever growing interest not just among passengers travelling between Poland and Japan. LOT offers short transfers via hub at Warsaw Chopin Airport, in that way ensuring the most convenient travel from many cities in the region. Passengers travelling to Tokyo conveniently fly with LOT from Paris, Prague, Zurich, Tel Aviv, Dubrovnik or Split in Croatia as well as from Budapest or Vienna. It takes only approx.. 13 hours total travel time to get from Prague to Tokyo with LOT!

“Launched at the very beginning of 2016, flights between Tokyo and Warsaw have became very succesful. On average, the aircraft operating on that route have a load factor exceeding 80%, which is the best evidence that many passengers from Japan and Europe expect to travel conveniently both ways. We are pleased to meet those demands while introducing today daily schedule of flights starting already next summer. It is also our first Asian route with a schedule of as many as 7 flights a week. Thanks to a codeshare agreement with ANA, the Japanese airlines, passengers can travel on a single ticket not only to Tokyo but also to other popular Japanese destinations such as Sapporo, Sendai and Fukuoka.

The connection to Tokyo is operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliners only, that is, the world’s state-of-the-art wide-body aircraft. Thanks to the use of advanced technology, they allow to maintain a higher pressure and higher air humidity on board than other passenger aircraft in this class. All those factors help enhance passengers’ comfort during such a long flight and reduce the so-called jet lag effect.

LOT’s current long haul flights from Warsaw: to New York City JFK and Newark, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Singapore, from Kraków to Chicago, from Rzeszów to Newark, and from Budapest to Chicago and New York City JFK. LOT’s regular offer include over 100 routes, which means that since the beginning of 2016 their number has increased by over 60.

The development of LOT’s flight network is possible, among others, thanks to new aircrafts acquired. In June, the 11th Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner joined the fleet. By the end of 2019, the Dreamliner fleet which operates long-haul flights, will be increased to 15 aircraft. The launch of new long haul flights is a part of LOT’s current strategy that provides for a consequent growth of flight offer available at the transport hub in Warsaw.

In 2017, LOT carried a total of over 6.8 million passengers, up more than 25 per cent year on year. This year, it plans to carry approx. 9 million passengers and intends to exceed the 10 million mark in 2019. Today, LOT has nearly 3,000 employees in several dozen of countries around the world.
