F&B LINE-UP ANNOUNCED FOR BERMUDA"S NEW TERMINAL

The new terminal at Bermuda's LF Wade International Airport (BDA) will boast F&B outlets developed by SSP America.

The new USD 274 million terminal is the key project of the gateway's Airport Redevelopment Project (Bermuda Airport Project) being carried out by operator, Skyport.

Airport boss, Skyport president, Aaron Adderley, says: “Creating interesting, high quality restaurants that will resonate with passengers travelling through the LF Wade International Airport was a top priority for us.

"We are excited to partner with SSP America and look forward to launching these three new elevated dining experiences next year when we open the new passenger terminal building.”

SSP America has teamed up with local Bermudian entrepreneurs, Dennie O’Connor and Jennifer Turini Ysseldyke, to form a joint venture, Bermuda Travel Concessions, to create the new F&B offering at BDA.

According to SSP America, the restaurants the joint venture will operate have been designed specifically for the new terminal and, will reflect "Bermuda’s rich culinary landscape and culture as well as the island’s position as a premier holiday destination".

SSP’s line-up includes:

The Whistling Rum Bar & Grill, (Departures check-in area, pre-security), a full service landside bar and grill; Rock & Barrel Gastro Bar (US Departures Hold Room); and The Heron & the Sea Public House (International Departures Hold Room).

SSP America describes the latter as "the ultimate BDA oasis", and the Rock & Barrel Gastro Bar as a "last port of call to remember for passengers".
