British Airways takes 1st Boeing 777 with Club World Suite

British Airways (BA) took delivery of its first Boeing 777-300ER and one Airbus A350XWB aircraft as a replacement for its retired Boeing 747 fleet.

British Airways took delivery of its first Boeing 777 following the six years’ break. The Triple-Seven is expected to operate the long-haul routes equipped with Club World Suite, BA the brand new first-class suite. The airliner will be the first airliner to be fitted with the suite. Earlier in September 2020, the airline announced that the 777-300ER was modified to include an additional door for ensuring greater privacy for passengers in the Club World Suite.

Boeing 777-300ER is capable to carry a total of 365 passengers at a range up to 7,930 nautical miles (14,685 km).

BA also added one Airbus A350-1000 to its refurbished long-haul fleet. According to Planespotters.com, the airline has a total of 7 A350s. The jet will carry 331 passengers at a range of 16,100km (8,700 miles).
