New antibacterial uniforms for Istanbul Airport’s hygiene team

Istanbul Airport’s ‘hygiene team’ now boast stylish new antimicrobial and antibacterial uniforms designed to give them an extra level of protection against COVID-19.

The team are on duty 24/7, carrying out duties varying from reminding passengers not to sit too close to each other and keep safe distances in queues, to observing the temperature of passengers and staff in the terminal with high-tech smart screening helmet with thermo-scan sensors.

Airport operator, IGA, said: “Every step taken within the scope of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, which affects the whole world, is of great importance.

“The airport keeps hygiene at the highest level for both passengers and employees. The new antibacterial uniforms will ensure the safety of the hygiene team working at the terminal.”

The tailor made new uniforms consisting of a shirt, trousers, jacket, waist bag and shoes have been supplied by Keyvan Aviation.

In addition to being antimicrobial and antibacterial, these uniforms are also said to standout for their comfortability and skin-friendly, breathable and anti-odor features.
