Like most airlines, the Latvian national carrier airBaltic offers a variety of ticket types tailored to suit different travelers' needs. From economy to business class tickets, here is everything you need to know about the airline's five different fare types.

GREEN

airBaltic's GREEN ticket option offers a simple and affordable air travel experience reminiscent of the popular no-frills approach many low-cost carriers adopt. This ticket type includes a free cabin bag and an extra personal item, both weighing eight kilograms.

It is not surprising that the GREEN ticket type is the most affordable option on this list, as it does not include certain benefits such as free checked baggage, name change, complimentary meals and drinks onboard the plane, or the ability to select a seat at no additional cost.

Cancelation with a refund is also not included in the GREEN ticket option unless one of the airliner's passengers buys a flight cancelation option for Ђ19.99. Other benefits such as sports equipment, fast track at Riga Airport (RIX), airport check-in, and flight date or time change before departure come with additional costs, with prices starting from Ђ39.99, Ђ9.99, Ђ35, and Ђ50, respectively.

GREEN Plus

The GREEN Plus option offered by the airline is akin to the GREEN option, with the inclusion of a few minor benefits. The GREEN plus ticket type is suited for those searching for affordable prices but who also need a piece of free checked baggage, which is included in the reservation.

The 23-kilogram free checked baggage is on top of a free cabin bag and an extra personal item. In addition, the GREEN Plus ticket option gives an extra 50 airBaltic Club Member points.

CLASSIC

airBaltic's CLASSIC ticket is a relatively standard ticket type. However, it has more benefits than the GREEN and GREEN Plus options. This ticket includes free checked baggage, advance seat reservation, and free airport check-in. This fare type also allows the passenger to change the flight time or date before departure at no additional cost.

Also, passengers who opt for the CLASSIC ticket can make last-minute name changes for a fee of Ђ100 if they have not already purchased the additional name change option for Ђ9.99.

In addition, the CLASSIC ticket offers the possibility to make an online check-in five days before the flights, earlier than the GREEN and the GREEN Plus ticket holders. It is worth noting that this fare type also gives an extra 100 airBaltic Club Member points.

BUSINESS Light

airBaltic's BUSINESS Light option offers passengers a whole onboard business class experience and flexibility but a bit more affordable price than the traditional business class ticket.

Travelers who opt for the BUSINESS Light can take two cabin bags and a personal item to the aircraft cabin without weight restrictions. This ticket type allows two free checked pieces of baggage, each weighing a maximum of 23 kilograms. In addition, BUSINESS Light passengers can check in for the flight at a separate registration counter, use fast track airport security line and spend time in the business lounge.

Onboard, BUSINESS Light passengers are served a seasonal three-course meal and a wide selection of beverages. For each flight with the BUSINESS Light ticket, airBaltic Club Members get 150 additional points.

However, with the BUSINESS Light ticket type, the name change option costs Ђ100. If a passenger opts to cancel their ticket, they will only be eligible for a tax refund and not a full refund.

BUSINESS

The most comprehensive and high-end ticket option offered by airBaltic is the BUSINESS ticket. While similar to the BUSINESS Light option, the BUSINESS ticket provides passengers with even greater flexibility and perks.

In addition to everything offered by the BUSINESS Light ticket, the BUSINESS ticket includes 100% refundable tickets, a free name change option, an additional 200 airBaltic Club Member points, and the ability to change flight dates or times at any point, not just before departure.
