What Can Guests Expect On Board The Four Seasons Airbus A321LR Private Jet?

The Four Seasons brand is synonymous with luxury and world-class hotels. For instance, it was chosen to cater to passengers in first class on ANA's A380. In 2014, Four Seasons took its hospitality concept to new heights by introducing a Four Seasons private jet. Its concept, dubbed the "air cruise," allows a few people to travel around the world aboard a semi-private jet and experience incredible destinations and hotels, bypassing the hassle associated with travel.

The main draw of the "air cruise" is the seamless experience passengers will have. All they have to do is show up, and everything from itineraries to hotels is handled. And in 2014, Four Seasons introduced its first jet, a 1996-built Boeing 757-200 bearing the registration G-XATW that could seat 52 passengers.

The jet ferries passengers worldwide around Australia, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe. In 2021, the flights were moved onto an Airbus A321LR. This jet has a range of over 4,000 nautical miles, meaning it can travel as far as New York to Rome without stopping.

Hotel in the sky?

The true earmark of the Four Seasons experience for guests is the care, service, and craftsmanship aboard offered to all passengers during each journey. The A321LR features the same quality and attention to detail as in a Four Seasons Hotel.

In an interview with Hotel Management Magazine, Four Seasons Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President Marc Speichert shared that the team onboard consists of a Journey Manager, a Private Chef, a Journey Physician, a Guest Service Manager, and a Four Seasons Concierge. Furthermore, Speichert told Hotel Management,

"The fully customised Private Jet features the widest and tallest cabins in its class, an exclusive 48-seats, and lounge space to connect with other guests as well enjoy in-flight programming led by chefs, wellness experts, educators, and more."

Moreover, Four Seasons tailor-made the private jet experience to meet different passengers' desires. Speichert added,

"From the moment of inquiry to booking and travel, a dedicated Guest Services Manager works closely with our Private Jet guests to understand their preferences and create expertly curated itineraries that cater to their wishes. Our dedicated Private Jet Experience Concierge then works with on-the-ground Four Seasons teams in each destination to seamlessly coordinate and execute guests' needs."

Although guests travel together on the same plane, each passenger has a customized itinerary to meet their preferences and interests. These vary from daily activities to experiences at each destination.

Inside the jet

The Four Seasons A321LR features 48 lie-flat seats across 12 rows in a 2-2 configuration. In addition to being a fully flat bet, the ottomans at the end of each seat are designed so that fellow passengers can have a face-to-face conversation. Although the seats do not offer the most privacy, the flights tend to be on the shorter side, with all flights departing during the day and arriving mid-afternoon.

The aircraft is exceptionally spacious and exclusive. In comparison, La Compagnie operates an Airbus A321neo in an all-business class configuration, all with lie-flat seats with 76 seats. The fact that the Four Seasons jet only has 48 seats should imply the level of comfort passengers can expect.

Towards the back of the aircraft is a bar and social area. There is also a bathroom in the front and back of the cabin, designed to be one of the biggest lavatories found on an A321. These lavatories are unsurprisingly intended to offer a more residential feeling for passengers.
